How we work

We were founded in Istanbul in 1982 as a customs brokerage and received our IATA accreditation two years later. Since then we have handled transport and customs together.

One file, one point of contact

Regulation keeps transport and customs services in separate legal entities; our clients work with one integrated team for both: one file, one point of contact.

Transport and customs in the same file. When freight and customs go to separate companies, documents travel back and forth between them. When we run both, we track your file from a single point.
After your request. We start work on your request the same day. Your request is routed to the operations team that matches your cargo.
Run by the same family. The company has been run by the same family since it was founded; the second generation runs it today. The continuity in our decisions and our long-standing client relationships come from this.

Which of our companies provides which service

We work through two separate legal entities. Turkish legislation requires that only licensed customs brokers may hold shares in a customs brokerage company, so our customs brokerage service is provided by a separate company. Nothing changes for you: your request is taken at a single point and your file runs with a single team.

Each company invoices the service it provides. You do not have to contract with both: a power of attorney is enough for the customs service, and transport needs no continuing agreement, since each shipment is organised on its own.

Our memberships and certificates are also split between the two companies. All four of IATA · UTİKAD · WCA First · TİO are registered to Koparan Uluslararası Nakliyat; the customs brokerage authorisations are held by Koparan Gümrük Müşavirliği.
